RPS accommodate changing occupational requirements

May 2011

As a result of continuing growth Elan Computing Ltd needed to expand its offices but did not want to move out of its existing location at St John's House, Barrington Road, Altrincham.

Elan Computing is expanding its offices into the newly vacated space on the first floor and has agreed a new lease to run concurrently with its existing lease which expires in 2016. The rent is also in line with its existing commitment at £17.50 per sq ft.

Self-contained offices let in Bowdon

Strategic North, marketing strategy consultants to the healthcare industry, has moved to Media House, Richmond Road, Bowdon, Cheshire.

The self-contained office building providing 948 sq ft of accommodation on ground and first floors has been taken on a three year lease.

Railway Street back on track

March 2011

Full steam ahead as Railway Street gets back on track with two lettings in two months. The latest at 40 Railway Street is to open as a new Baby Play Cafe in early March.

The accommodation provides 1272 sq ft on ground floor and basement retail space and has been taken on a five year lease at a rental equating to a Zone of £24.

The Cheshire village of Hale attracts two new businesses

An established firm of Manchester lawyers and a recruitment agency have opened offices in Hale, Cheshire.

The city centre practice, Betesh partnership Solicitors (BPS) has opened its new office at 3A Cecil Road in the heart of the village. It has taken a three year lease on the self-contained premises comprising 562 sq ft of accommodation on the first and second floors.

FT Select, IT specialists, that provide contract and permanent staff across the UK, has relocated to 26a Victoria Road, Hale, Cheshire. It has taken a three-year lease on the 450 sq ft first floor premises.

Lettings hat-trick

We have completed a hat-trick of lettings in South Manchester.

In Broadheath, Altrincham, 'Good to be Wet' that sell the latest scuba diving equipment has taken a three year lease at 8 Woodfield Road. The premises provide a total of 1500 sq ft of ground floor retail space with basement storage and offices on the first and second floors.

3 Tiverton Road, Davey Hulme has been let on a 6 year lease to Style By. The 900 sq ft premises are being fitted out for a hairdressing salon.

And finally Lady Zone, a ladies only gym with outlets across the UK is relocating its head office from Sheffield to Altrincham and opening a new gym in the town.

Ladyzone has taken a five year lease on the first and second floors at 10A Goose Green, just off Stamford New Road, in the heart of Altrincham.

New restaurant to open in Altrincham

The former wine rack retail unit on Railway Street in Altrincham town centre has been let to a restaurateur. The ground floor retail and upper floor office space has been disposed by way of a full repairing and insuring lease for a period of 15 years. The ground floor space is being comprehensively refurbished and will benefit from a contemporary fit out. The restaurant will be offering Asian cuisine and is due to open its doors in November.

Largest industrial letting of 2010

IJS Global have taken 46,000 sq ft of warehouse and storage space on George Richard's Way, Altrincham. IJS have been rapidly expanding and were seeking larger premises in the Altrincham vicinity where they were currently based. The unit matched their expectations in terms of its capabilities and offerings and was deemed an obvious choice in progressing their expansion plans.
